In one story, the shamans become aggressive in their thinking and insult the sun and moon, which then disappear, so everybody is in the dark. The shamans say, oh, they can get the sun back, and they swallow trees and bring the trees out through their bellies, and they bury themselves in the ground with only their eyes sticking out, and do all these great shamanic magic tricks. But the tricks don’t work. The sun doesn’t come back.
